Let me preface this…

29 Nov

…by saying this blog post is not meant to bash anybody’s religion or demean Mormons. But, this was too good not to bring to your attention.

I stole this link from dooce.

It’s a page at the Brigham Young University Student Honor Association where you can look at the Modesty & Grooming Standard posters that they use on campus. They highlight the evils of sleeveless shirts, dyed hair, piercings, and long sideburns (stangely, tattoos aren’t mentioned), and remind you to thank others for their respectful appearance.

I garauntee you, it’s worth it.

On ladies undergarments/appearance:

The only thongs I want to see are on your feet. (picture of flip-flops) Clothing is innapropriate when backless or revealing

On ladies dresses:

Goldifox and the three bares. Beware of bares (this one’s to sheer, this one’s to short, this one’s too low).

On men’s appearance, presented by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

Look at this, Dude! Avoid sleeveless, revealing, and form fitting clothes! Keep your shorts to your knees, man! Stay away from extreme hairstyles and colors, keeping hair off the ears and collar! Sideburns shouldn’t go past your earlobe or onto your cheek, and make sure you shave off your beard before you come to school, dude! Piercings aren’t acceptable either, bro! Cowabunga!

And remember, this bodacious message was brought to you by the BYU Student Honor Association.

Thank you! When I clicked the link on Dooce the other day, the site was down and I forgot about it. I needed the laugh today, and your timing was perfect. :)Have a great time in Florida. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.

They just sucked the fun right out of life. Not doing anything Ben wouldn’t do gives you a lot of leeway. ;)Enjoy Florida.
